ROYAL CLIFF’S DEVINE WINE CLUB GOES ON “A CULINARY EXCURSION TO BORDEAUX ET BOURGOGNE”

Royal Cliff’s deVine Wine Club has recently hosted a remarkable wine dinner “A Culinary Excursion to Bordeaux et Bourgogne” at the Royal Grill Room & Wine Cellar - Excellence & Heritage.

(TRAVPR.COM) THAILAND - June 8th, 2018 - Pattaya, Thailand - Royal Cliff’s deVine Wine Club has recently hosted a remarkable wine dinner “A Culinary Excursion to Bordeaux et Bourgogne” at the Royal Grill Room & Wine Cellar - Excellence & Heritage. DeVine Wine Club members and wine lovers enjoyed a delicious 5-course menu featuring excellent cuisine prepared by Royal Cliff’s award-winning culinary team led by Executive Chef Peter Held with premium wines from Vanichwathana Co., a pioneer in importing alcoholic beverages in Thailand.

The evening began with an elegant pre-dinner cocktail reception at The Bar of the Royal Cliff Beach Hotel where over 50 guests were warmly welcomed by members of the Royal Cliff Executive team and mingled over an exquisite selection of deluxe canapés accompanied by the savory Chevalier De Malt Brut.

The sumptuous five-course menu which followed at the Royal Grill Room and Wine Cellar featured an appetizing seared scallop on avocado tartar, mesclun leaves and mango dressing served with a Macon Villages Joseph Drouhin 2016. Guests then enjoyed the curried cauliflower veloute, shrimp cake and honey roasted cashew nuts paired with a Bourgogne Aligoté Joseph Drouhin 2015.  Wine lovers then indulged in a succulent slow roasted Angus beef tenderloin with garlic pumpkin mash, grilled vegetable and truffle port wine jus served with the Beaujolais Village Joseph Drouhin 2014. Before dessert, everyone experienced the exquisite combination of flavours from a Blue Cheese crème brûlée, grilled pear and balsamic shallot confit wonderfully paired with the Moulin-à-Vent 2013 Joseph Drouhin. The night ended with Chef Warawuth’s flourless dark chocolate slice and frozen rosella cream and cocoa nib tuile served with Chateau Le Thibaut 2014.

Aside from the delectable dinner, guests also had the opportunity to enjoy the personal discourse of guest speaker and wine specialist, Mr. Guillame Celante, Sommelier of Vanichwathana Co., Ltd - The Fine Wine & Spirits Company and one of the youngest sommeliers in Thailand. 

The deVine Wine Club was launched on April 28, 2001 as the visible face of the resort's enthusiasm for promoting wines and hosting wine-related events.
