Twisper (http://www.twisper.com), the free-to-download digital travel service available for iPhone, Android and the web, continues to push the boundaries of what a multi-platform service can provide. Its latest release unveils Premium Guides accessible offline with downloadable maps, premium rights for members and Partner profiles for brands and businesses.

Twisper today announces the unveiling of the Premium Guide – an extension of the Twisper Guide, our most successful and dynamic feature. For the first time, Twisper members will be able to create a Guide to their favorite locations and then sell it as a marketable product, viewable both on- and offline.
Version 1.7 opens up the possibility for everyday members of the Twisper community, as well as bloggers and other travel professionals, to earn money from their travels. ‘’With the release of Twisper’s Premium Guides, we want to empower and reward well-travelled individuals for their insider advice,’’ comments David de Brito, CEO of Twisper. “Nowadays, people have greater trust for recommendations from people they know. The best thing about Twisper’s Premium Guides is that the community can connect and champion non-generic and meaningful local experiences.”
Premium Guides can only be created by Twisper Ambassadors, Twisper Partners or by Twisper Editors. To become an Editor, Twisper members can work their way up by earning Activity Miles, validating their travel expertise. Activity Miles are earned by completing tasks or by contributing to the Twisper community, such as through writing highlights and adding locations. Premium Guides can be bought for 4.49€ (USD$4.99) or exchanged for a redeem code within the Twisper Guide Store. Once purchased, they are accessible offline including their own maps for navigation– because traveling doesn’t always come with a wifi connection.
Autumn 2014 also sees the introduction of Twisper Partner profiles. Partner profiles open the Twisper platform up to key companies, brands and groups who share Twisper's travel philosophy. Regular Twisper community members will now be able to follow and be inspired by companies they know and love. This new level of community infuses Twisper with even more great location tips and professional knowledge, all connected through a shared love of travel and discovery.
