Now in addition to events, you can use Roost to share a hotel room and split the cost in 12 major cities across the U.S.
(TRAVPR.COM) UNITED STATES - December 11th, 2019 -
Roost, a Boston-based startup that helps travelers quickly and safely find compatible roommates to share hotel rooms and split the cost, is launching city-based travel in 12 major cities across the U.S.
Previously Roost was operating solely at events, mainly music festivals. But with this announcement today, travelers can now use Roost to book shared hotel rooms in 12 cities across the U.S., including New York, San Francisco, and Miami.
The new service just went live and travelers will be able to make city-based bookings for check-in dates starting in early 2020.
Roost founder and CEO Samuel Tate explains the expansion. “We started at music festivals in the U.S because these are events where lots of young, like-minded travelers go to the same place at the same time. Plus hotels often jack up their rates around big events like music festivals and become unaffordable for many travelers. We will continue to expand our event-based service, but we feel that city-based travel is an exciting natural extension for the company.”
