MYANMAR`S VICE PRESIDENT U HENRY VAN THIO ACCEPTED AS HONORABLE MEMBER OF GLOBAL TOURISM INSTITUTION

European Council on Tourism and Trade and European Tourism Academy had jointly announced their decision to admit the Vice-President of The Republic of The Union of Myanmar U Henry Van Thio as a full academician for his role in fostering tourism in ASEAN and for promoting a policy of cultural patrimony protection and safeguard. The ceremony to entrust the world top tourism award will take place in Nay Pyi Taw, Myanmar`s capital of September 27, 2019

(TRAVPR.COM) BELGIUM - September 4th, 2019 - Vice-President of The Republic of The Union of Myanmar U Henry Van Thio has been named a member of Global Tourism Institution and European Tourism Academy in recognition of his visionary leadership of the nation`s tourism industry and fostering the country cultural awareness.

As per academic tradition, The Letter destined for World Leaders of Tourism and Development will be presented to H.E. Vice President U HENRY VAN THIO on the opening day of World Tourism Day 2019 and WORLD`S BEST TOURIST DESTINATION festivity by European Council on Tourism and Trade President-Professor Dr. Anton Caragea.

Academician Mircea Constantinescu and Academician Ionut Costea announced on behalf of The Office of the President of European Council on Tourism and Trade and European Tourism Academy that H.E. Vice-President of Myanmar U HENRY VAN THIO has being consecrated as a WORLD LEADER OF TOURISM AND DEVELOPMENT and as a member of European Tourism Academy for his “recognition of the role and significance of tourism on world stage”.

Among the reasons for this decision Global Tourism Institution Director Academician Dr. Ionut Costea enumerated: Vice-President U Henry Van Thio has offered his patronage to the modernization of the law of tourism of Myanmar, has pushed forward legislation opening the country tourism sectors for vital investments in modernizing hospitality structures and infrastructures and carved out and chairs the CENTRAL COMMITTEE FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF NATIONAL TOURISM INDUSTRY vital for the country development and he recently launched three new committees dedicated to implementing promoting and developing tourism across the nation.

The letter signed by H.E. European Council on Tourism and Trade President-Professor Dr. Anton Caragea and European Tourism Academy Director-Prof. Dr. Ionut Costea and also by Academician Dr. Mircea Constantinescu for H.E. Vice-President U HENRY VAN THIO reads on:

“Under Your Excellency leadership, the Government of The Republic of The Union of Myanmar has for a long time recognized and abated the importance of culture and tourism as key facilitators for the country development and international promotion.

Your leadership has succeeded in creating an exemplary and powerful poverty reduction strategy in Myanmar which focuses on promoting Tourism as a key for Economic Growth, Employment, and lifting out of poverty of all the population of Myanmar.

Your activities had created what we are celebrating today: The Enchanting MYANMAR – Pearl of ASIA and WORLD`S BEST TOURIST DESTINATION FOR 2019.

Myanmar can become an example for development activities, investment protection and facilitation, economic growth and wealth spreading to the nation and this is the creation of your life long experience and devotion to your people”.

The LETTER ADDRESSED TO WORLD LEADERS OF TOURISM AND DEVELOPMENT comes in recognition of world leaders that are elected members of EUROPEAN TOURISM ACADEMYand are placing at the fore of their activity the historical patrimony of their country and use it, and preserve it for the benefit of the future generation, leaders who grasp the importance of tourism as the most important part of diplomacy, international relations and raising national profile on world arena”
