Industry: Travel Guides

Nepal has come up with a 2020 goal to boost its tourism prospects by initiating a complete revamp of promotional strategies. Read to find out what’s in store for the travellers when they come for the Nepal city tour.

(TRAVPR.COM) NEW YORK - July 16th, 2019 - Despite being one of the most beautiful countries in the world, blessed with natural abundance, Nepal has not been able to make a big mark when it comes to tourism. But, things are going to change as the government has come up with novel strategies to improve the present state of things and change the face of tourism in Nepal.

What’s The Goal?

After the horrifying 2015 earthquake, the tourism industry in Nepal suffered a hard blow. But after 4 long years, the government has made strategic plans to regain its lost status by hoping to host at least 2 million tourists in the year 2020. While the vision seems hard to achieve, Nepal has all the requisite elements that make for a perfect tourist destination which will make the Nepal tour packages extremely enticing for the travellers. The government is going to come up with both international and domestic promotional steps to improve the state of tourism in Nepal and that’s great news for the travellers!

Steps To Accomplish Mission Tourism

Nepal is aiming at targeting its immediate neighbours- India and China to boost its tourism as both countries are a lucrative source of travellers and tourists. It is also capturing the markets of Zurich, Paris, and Brussels by organizing the ‘Nepal Sales Mission’ as they make up for a profitable source to generate tourism from. Apart from tapping these markets, they have also thought of innovative things to do in Nepal such as introducing a hiking trail for disabled people in Pokhara and doubling up the tiger population in tiger reserves.

Steps are also being taken to improve the infrastructural elements. The Tribhuwan International Airport in Kathmandu will extend its services for an additional 3 hours to ensure convenient tourism. Hotel rooms will also be increased in number and a new chain of international hotels will be introduced to improve the status of tourism in the country.

These measures will definitely attract more tourism for Nepal and support the 2020 goal.

What’s In Store For The Tourists?

There is a splendid array of places to visit in Nepal that will appeal to the tourists. With the highest mountain peak being an important component of Nepal’s glory, a host of other elements are hard to be missed. Nepal proudly boasts of a large number of places that have been included in the UNESCO World Heritage Sites list. Moreover, the alluring natural beauty of Nepal’s flora and fauna is extremely captivating. Moreover, Nepal has great prospects for adventure sports like Everest Marathon, mountaineering, hiking, paragliding, mountain hiking, etc. that will attract the youth.

With so many attractive aspects, it is only a matter of time before Nepal regains the status of one of the most fascinating tourist destinations and we are eagerly waiting for that!
