GRAND CANYON HELICOPTER TOURS' NEW MEMORIAL HOLIDAY DEALS
Industry: Tours

Memorial Day holiday is coming. Time to do a Grand Canyon helicopter tour. Special pricing available now. Book online. RSVP recommended.

(TRAVPR.COM) USA - May 5th, 2016 - Grand Canyon Helicopter Tours' announces the pre-release of special promotional pricing on select flights from Las Vegas, NV, and South Rim, AZ.

Vegas Special

From Las Vegas, the special will be the all-air tour. This awesome tour will go over Lake Mead, Hoover Dam, Fortification Hill, the Colorado River and the Canyon before making an exciting return back to town.

If you are going from South Rim, the Memorial Day deal is for the basic 30-minute all-air tour. This flight goes from the South Rim to the North Rim and back via the Dragoon Corridor, the widest and deepest section of the Canyon.

Vegas travelers can also choose from basic and deluxe landing tours. Basic tours use a standard helicopter while the deluxe uses the state-of-the-art EcoStar 130, which boasts a massive 180-degree wraparound window and stadium-style seats.

Deluxe Options

Deluxe tours also include limousine transport to and from the hotel as well as an extended tour from the top of the Vegas Strip by the Stratosphere Tower to the bottom by the Luxor pyramid. Many travelers prefer the deluxe because it's like getting two tours for the price of one.

The flight path for Vegas landing tours is similar to the all-air option, except you make a 3,500-foot descent to the bottom of the Canyon for a Champagne picnic. Guests are free to walk the 100 yards to the banks of the famous Colorado River as well.

In addition to the 30-minute South Rim ride, there's also the 50-minute flight, which does everything the shorter flight does plus all the territory up to the eastern border of the National Park. Once guests complete this trip they'll have seen up to 75 percent of the Park in under one hour.

Sold Out

Tours during the Memorial Day holiday are expected to sell out. To avoid this situation, it's recommended that travelers book flights right after hotel rooms are secured. If not, the next best-case scenario is to book up to a week or two in advance. Avoid 24-hour and same-day bookings as prices soar and seats sell out during this time frame.

Travelers are urged to book tours online. This is because that's where all the best deals are posted. It's not uncommon to find flights marked down by up to 35%. In addition to great deals, the website is highly regarded in the travel industry as safe, convenient and secure.

It will be hot at the National Park during the Memorial Day holiday so it's recommended that travelers bring sun block, lip balm, water and a salty snack like Trail Mix. Further, try wearing sunglasses, a brimmed hat and running shoes. Loose clothing is also recommended in order to stay comfortable during heat that's anticipated to be nearly 100 degrees.
