Does not matter whether it is morning, noon or night, from the street vendors to high-class restaurants, you can find Pho anytime, anywhere. It is a common sight on the street of a long queue patiently waiting for their turn to have a bowl of Pho. Enjoying Pho for breakfast is quite time-consuming and therefore, for busier people, Banh my is another preferable choice.

The most noticeable habit of Hanoians that will impress you right at the first sight is: Coffee culture. This culture is rooted from the period of French Colonial and has been familiarized by Hanoians since then.  The busiest street of coffee shops in Hanoi is Nguyen Huu Huan (Hoan Kiem dist.) that you can find an abundant type of coffee and theme. While adolescence and youngsters opt for dinner-out and then have a chit chat at some nicely decorated coffee shops, most of Hanoians are acquainted with siting on low-slung plastic stools on the pavement, sipping their morning coffee, talking to friends, updating news from magazines and newspaper, or simply gazing at people moving on the street. So after treating yourself breakfast, take a sit with the locals, have your coffee and enjoy the hasty vibe of morning in Hanoi.
