NEPAL IS STILL A SAFE AND ONE OF THE BEST TOURIST DESTINATIONS
Industry: Travel Agents

Nepal has always been topping the list, when it comes to the best travel destinations in the world. It was only after the great quakes of April 25 and May 12 that the travelers got a bit skeptical regarding the safety issues in Nepal. (TRAVPR.COM) NEPAL - September 11th, 2015 - Nepal has always been topping the list, when it comes to the best travel destinations in the world. It was only after the great quakes of April 25 and May 12 that the travelers got a bit skeptical regarding the safety issues in Nepal. The news about the devastations of the quake was so rampantly broadcast by the international media that the fact of most of the parts in Nepal being untouched by the menace was seriously overlooked. Everyone was concerned about the magnitude of the destruction and execution of rescue and relief operations. Amidst all these ordeals, Nepal was somehow tagged as an unsafe destination. It is worth mentioning that only some factions of Nepal were affected by the quake while the rest of the parts were completely intact. Thanks to the Lonely Planet, Nepal has been included in the top list of the best travel destination for this October. So the bottom line is that the menace of earthquake is now over and once the monsoon subsides, Nepal is safely ready to welcome the adventurers from around the world. October is once again a peak season for trekking in Nepal and the Annapurna region is a great, nay epic, place to begin with.

From the stunningly beautiful gateway town of Pokhara, which hardly suffered any damage, the classic trekking routes such as the Annapurna Circuit and Annapurna Sanctuary offer jaw-dropping mountainous vistas (probably could otherwise be relished only by the mountaineers). Pokhara is just a few hours’ drive nay 25 minutes’ flight away from Kathmandu. It is tantamount to an oasis for the trekkers who commence or get back from the trek.

The Annapurna Circuit is the most popular trekking route in Nepal. It includes the staggering 5416m high pass of “Thorong-La”, touching the edge of the fabled Tibetan plateau. The magnificent mountainous panorama includes Annapurna 8,091 meters, Dhaulagiri 8,167 meters and Machhapuchchhre (Mt. Fishtail) 6,993 meters, which can all be witnessed at close quarters. Every year, more than 100,000 trekkers visit the Annapurna area, and nearly 50 percent of them embark the circuit.

Nothing lasts forever and so is exactly the case with the natural catastrophe in Nepal. Sending support, prayers and good wishes indeed help Nepal and the Nepalese get back to their feet. But above all, if there is one best way to help Nepal and show the Nepalese that you care, it is by actually visiting Nepal. Every penny that you spend here does not merely fetch you the refreshment, but also capacitate the local economy, especially the tourism sector. So, this is a great opportunity for each one of you to be a part of this noble cause. Come, visit Nepal and help Nepal recover!!
