GRAND CANYON TOURS' AUGUST 2015 SIGHTSEEING FLIGHT DEALS
Industry: Tours

Time to fly Grand Canyon! Great deals on heli & plane rides. From Las Vegas and South Rim. Book in advance and online for best price.

(TRAVPR.COM) USA - July 27th, 2015 - Grand Canyon Tours' announced today that it's reduced the price of select helicopter and airplane flights from Las Vegas, NV, and the South Rim, which is located next to Tusayan, AZ.

The best deals are on the air-only flight from Las Vegas and the helicopter-Jeep package from South Rim. "These tours are the most efficient and inexpensive way to enjoy the Canyon," said Keith Kravitz, owner of Grand Canyon tours.

The Vegas air-only tour goes over Lake Mead, Hoover Dam, the Colorado River and the Grand Canyon before returning back to town. Total tour time is approximately 3.5 hours. There's also a deluxe version that comes with limousine transfer and an extended ride over the Vegas Strip.

The South Rim's best deal starts with a 30-minute ride from South Rim to North Rim and back and includes the famous Dragoon Corridor, which is the widest and deepest section of the Canyon. The Jeep segment is 2.5 hours and includes stops at all key lookouts and landmarks.

Las Vegas

Travelers can also get great online deals on Vegas landing tours, which is significant since it's only from Vegas wherein helicopters can fly below the Rim and land. Markdowns include the flight that goes to the bottom and lands for a Champagne Picnic.

Please note that there are no helicopter rides from Las Vegas to the South Rim, which is 270 miles from town and out of range for helicopters. If travelers want to do the South Rim, it's advised to book an airplane tour.

These airplane tours take 60-minutes to reach the Rim and come with a number of incredible options, including a Jeep tour, a helicopter ride and/or a 2.5-hour mini-bus tour inside the National Park. Like all flight packages, prices are fixed and include all taxes, fees and fuel surcharges.

South Rim

In addition to the helicopter/Jeep tour, guests can also get great online deals on the Park's 30-minute and 50-minute deluxe helicopter rides. The shorter one goes South Rim to North Rim and back, while the longer one does that, too, plus everything up to the Park's eastern border.

"The heli/Jeep package is the only one that delivers a great combination of air and ground views," noted Kravitz. "Plus the Jeep is the most efficient way to get around the Canyon as the Park can get gridlocked during summer."

Please note that all tours have basic and deluxe versions. The key thing that separates the two is the type of aircraft used. Basic tours utilize the standard AStar or Bell Ranger aircraft while deluxe flights use the superior EcoStar 130.

What makes the EcoStar 130 such a standout is it's design. First, its cabin is 25 percent bigger than basic helicopters, which allows it to be outfitted with stadium-style bucket seats. It also comes with a 180-degree wraparound windshield for huge, panoramic views of the Canyon.

"With hot summer temperatures, the EcoStar 130 is the preferred choice," noted Kravitz. "The aircraft's climate control is incredible and keeps travelers cool and comfortable for the duration of the flight."
