Red Hot Chilli Pepper will host a range of authentic cooking classes with the following themes, Mexican (Sat 22nd March & Sat 8th November), Mediterranean (Sat 5th April & Sat 29th November), Moroccan (Sat 10th May & Sat 9th August), Fusion (Sat 24th May & Sat 13th September), Sri Lankan (Sat 7th June & Sat 11th October) and Persian (Sat 12th July).

Cooking teacher Vicki Taylor said the classes were lots of fun and very hands-on with participants working in pairs to prepare their own delicious lunch.

“Spice is the cheapest ingredient in any recipe and it has the biggest impact on flavour which I will be talking more about as guests learn how to prepare their favourite international cuisines,” Vicki said.

Chief Executive Officer of Sunshine Coast Destination Limited, Simon Ambrose, said the Licensed to Spice cooking classes would appeal to visitors inspired by the popularity of reality cooking shows and TV celebrity chefs.

“There is an enormous interest in preparing your own restaurant-quality creations and, with a little help from the Licensed to Spice cooking school, participants will be returning home to their own kitchens with a very tangible memory of their holiday,” Mr Ambrose said.

Each class runs from 9:30am to roughly 2 -2:30pm, costs $125 per person and includes all spices, all recipes, and lunch with a glass of wine or beer.
