Industry: Holiday Parks

2013 was a good year for holiday park bookings in the UK and looks to build on that success.

(TRAVPR.COM) UK - January 3rd, 2014 - With the current weather being in the news headlines for all of the wrong reasons it is hard to think that the summer of 2013 had some of the best weather in the last five years. The weather encouraged increased bookings at holiday parks throughout the UK with a summer season that continued into the autumn. Visitors made the most of holidays including long weekend breaks. There is no reason why 2014 should not be the same and Holiday– hope to be in the forefront of this trend.

Established just five years ago, advertises holiday parks throughout the UK and Europe. They work with all of the major park owners and booking agents to offer the widest choice possible.

From the introduction of Holiday Camps in the 1950s and 60s, Holiday Parks have now developed to offer family holidays with a wide variety of accommodation. Caravans still tend to be the firm family favourite type of accommodation, but lodges, apartments, cottages, chalets and even tree houses can now be found.  The types of locations can also vary from large parks with lots of facilities in popular seaside resorts to remote parks in the middle of National Parks, where peace and quiet in the natural environment is the key attraction.

The Holiday Parks season has also increased in the last decade. Although the majority of holidays are taken in the summer months, some of the parks that have indoor facilities are open from the February half term to the end of October. Prices out of season can be extremely good value with short breaks often starting at around £100 for a 3 day break. With prices as low as this, families can afford a short well deserved break even in these tough economic times.

Whether you are looking for a log cabin in the Scottish Highlands, a caravan holiday on the coast of Cornwall or a camping holiday in the South of France, can offer a good selection of sites to choose from.
