Travel To Go Reveals Top 5 Vacation Destination Requests

(TRAVPR.COM) FL - November 21st, 2013 - Travel To Go, the leading provider of travel services and vacation club products recently performed a member trends study to determine the most frequently requested vacation destinations of 2013.

The family run, San Diego-based organization which recently reached a new membership milestone of 60,000 members has revealed the following top five most popular destination requests according to their members.

Branson, Missouri
Branson is a city in Taney County, Missouri, named for Reuben Branson, town postmaster in the area in the 1880s. Called the "family-friendly Las Vegas" because of its numerous shows and attractions and flashy building decorations and neon lights, it offers a "strip" that draws people from far and wide. For those who choose to escape the glitz and glitter, Branson also offers a few natural attractions, in the form of three lakes, the world’s finest trout fishing, and recreational activities like hiking, hunting, and golfing, and water sports such as swimming, boating, and water skiing.

Florida
The state of Florida has much to offer visitors as well, with sunny skies, white sand beaches and turquoise waters, attractions such as a plethora of theme parks like Walt Disney World, Universal Studios, Islands of Adventure, Sea World, and Busch Gardens, and never-ending nightlife in Miami and the surrounding areas.  The family friendly area is ideal for Travel To Go members interested in vacation condominium stays.

Myrtle Beach
Myrtle Beach offers visitors a variety of attractions as well, with its wide, white beaches, challenging golf links, delicious seafood restaurants, and outlet shopping galore, making it a major tourist destination along South Carolina’s South Atlantic coast. Highlights include Broadway at the Beach, the largest entertainment complex in all of South Carolina, with nightlife, shops, an IMAX 3D movie theatre and Ripley’s Aquarium, which has a stingray bay, and sharks; Dragon's Lair Fantasy Golf, Pavilion Nostalgia Park, which has a multitude of nostalgic rides and attractions; the Walking Waterball and MagiQuest, a walk-through virtual reality game, the Myrtle Waves Water Park, and Nascar SpeedPark.

Hawaii
The state of Hawaii is actually an archipelago of over 19 volcanic islands located in the Central Pacific. There are eight major islands, six of which are open to tourism. Of those, the most popular to visit are Hawaii, Oahu, and Maui.

Hawaii, called the Big Island, is the largest of the islands and home to Mauna Loa, the biggest and one of the most active volcanoes on Earth; Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, coffee and macadamia nut plantations, working ranches, green sand beaches, and the Kohala Coast, a major resort area. Oahu is the most populous and developed island, home to Honolulu, the state capital and largest city. As such, it offers tons to see and do: Waikiki Beach, the Dole pineapple factory and fields, Oahu’s North Shore, which is a surfer’s paradise, and the USS Arizona National Memorial at Pearl Harbor, to name a few. Then there is Maui, the second largest island in the chain and home to Haleakala, a 10,023 foot tall volcanic mountain crater, and tropical resorts galore.

Europe
Last but certainly not least is Europe, a literal continent of tourist destinations stretching 3,930,000 mi² from Asia to the Atlantic and from Africa to the Arctic. Each year, European countries welcome more than 480 million international visitors, more than half of the world market. Furthermore, seven of the 10 most visited countries are in Europe. A well-preserved cultural and architectural heritage, open borders and efficient travel infrastructure are just some of the draws. One can easily travel to all the continent’s highlights, Paris, Rome, London, Amsterdam, Athens, etc. in a few hours, immersing oneself in a new language, a way of life, and new sights and sounds at every turn.

Other top destinations in various member survey categories included the following: the Panama Canal, Alaska, the Caribbean, Mexico, Tahiti, New York, Las Vegas, Fort Lauderdale, Cancun, Punta Cana, Mexico, Miami, Aruba, China, Thailand, and Israel.
