(TRAVPR.COM) UK - July 29th, 2013 - Anuj Kumar, Founder & Managing Director of Worldwide DMC has today announced plans to make further acquisitions in Italy and France this year. This announcement comes 2 months after the opening of the Dubai office in May and the new office in Mumbai, India in February.
With a staff of over 45, Worldwide DMC now has offices on 3 continents and 4 cities including, the London and Delhi offices which were opened in 2010 and the new Dubai and Mumbai offices in 2013. Further acquisitions in Rome and Paris will further strengthen the position of the DMC in central Europe, making the business the destination management company of choice for Asian, Middle Eastern and North American travel agents or tour operators looking for UK & European Inbound DMC support.
Anuj Kumar said "we like to think we are "the closest UK & EUROPEAN DMC", meaning the majority of our business with agents is done in the country where they reside. That's a big reason for the drive to open offices in countries where our partners are located".
He said, “we concentrate on UK and Europe because that is where our business was founded and where we have developed a strong relationship with hotels and ground handling suppliers”.
He said, “ our business is purely B2B and unlike other DMC’s we don’t ever seek to cut the agent out and deal direct with the traveller”. We are pure B2B”.
He said, “we are in this business for the long term, which is why when we make a decision to provide support in a region, we tend to either acquire an existing operator or purchase a property for a new office”. “We don’t like renting, it assumes we are hedging our bets, which we are not!”.
Technology is at the core of the WWDMC operation, which is why Worldwide DMC developed its two major systems, one the B2B booking portal for their travel agent partners where they can securely login and book the desired services and avail the privilege of Worldwide DMC ‘s special negotiated rates and an own in-house on-line system to manage sales, operations & accounts in India.
Anuj Kumar said, ”we want to be totally accountable to our partners and supply the best service possible, so we could not do that if we built our business on 3rd party IT suppliers”.
He said “by positioning our IT effectively and developing strong relationships through trade shows we are able to drive the best wholesale rates for all UK & European Inbound destinations.
