(TRAVPR.COM) INDIA - March 15th, 2022 - As the tourism world slowly gets on recovery mode, we are pleased to announce the Ahmedabad edition of the ‘India International Travel Mart’ from the 10 & 11 March 2022. The earlier six events held earlier this year in Chennai, Bengaluru, Mumbai, Pune, Hyderabad and Kolkata saw a tremendous response from the travel trade fraternity.

The pandemic has affected the tourism industry hugely and as the industry attempts to get back into business mode, we are happy to add value to the recovery of the tourism industry. In the year of the celebrations of ‘Azadi ki Amrut Mahotsav’, India Tourism is happy to partner with the IITM Event this year to create awareness of India’s vast tourism potential.

The travel and tourism exhibition was inaugurated by Mr. Virendra Shah, Chairman, Gujarat Chapter, Travel Agents Assc. of India,Mr. Randhir Singh Vaghela, Chairman, Gujarat Chapter, Indian Assc. of Tour Operators,Mr. Ashok Dhoot, Chairman, Gujarat Chapter, Assc. of Domestic Tour Operators of India,Mr. Anuj Pathak, President, Tour Operators and Travel Agents Assc. of Gujarat (Tag) on Friday 10th March 2022.

The IITM is organising the three-day exhibition in the Ahmedabad edition of the Travel Mart from March 10 and 11 with free entry. The event has 20 State Tourism departments which makes it one of the highlights.

The Gujarat Tourism is the ‘Host State host at IITM-2022   while Karnataka is partner State. Tourism Malaysia is the ‘Partner Country’ ,Tourism Malaysia is the ‘Partner Country’ Madhya Pradesh is the ‘Feature State’, while Himachal Pradesh is the ‘Focus State’More than 100 travel organisations, hotels and resorts participated, making it one of the most diverse ranges of hospitality products on display. The mart is supported by India Tourism. The event showcased diverse tourism segments such as pilgrimage travel, adventure, cultural pursuits, shopping tours. They offer attractive discounts on spot bookings for winter holidays.

Sphere TravelMedia Director Sanjay Hakhu said: “As we recover from the pandemic to get back into business mode, India has emerged as one of the most interesting and productive countries for the travel industry both for leisure and business travel. A combination of factors is responsible for the growth and demand of travel within India. The visitor profile is on a B2B format and will have over 1500 travel partners, corporate travel managers and wedding planners over the next two days”.

Sphere TravelMedia Director Rohit Hangal added “With the present ongoing recovery of tourism and with International Arrivals in India on a slower growth, ‘India International Travel Mart’ is the right event to provide an impetus to the Indian domestic tourism industry. The tourism stakeholders from the states of Karnataka, Himachal Pradesh, Meghalaya, Gujarat, Jammu and Kashmir, Kerala and many more destinations will be seen aggressively marketing their products”.
