An innovative interactive map containing 29 short films so far, about a medieval French village, La Bastide d'Armagnac.

(TRAVPR.COM) FRANCE - November 10th, 2011 - A LIVING MAP IS LAUNCHED

This month sees the launch of a new kind of interactive map created by British documentary film maker, Martin Freeth.

While Google street view can take you to street level, this is the first time that an interactive map has taken a step further so that visitors can now meet the proprietors of every building they might want to visit in real life.

Our first ‘living map’ focuses on the beautiful medieval village of La Bastide d’Armagnac in South West France. The warmth and character of the people of this village shine out in the 29 short films which have so far been included in this innovative map.

From a church especially dedicated to cyclists, to a wildlife artist with a chirping jay on her shoulder, to Madame Colette Tortoré the 80 year old proprietor of the ancient village bar, to some of the best Armagnac producers in the world… get to know this very special village.
