Kids Snow Sports School Defined by Safety, Collaboration and Fun
(TRAVPR.COM) USA - November 7th, 2011 - North Conway, NH- Three New England ski mountains recently announced an innovative new joint approach to teaching kids how to ski and ride called KidsRule Mountain Camp. The program will be offered exclusively at Cranmore Mountain Resort, Jimmy Peak Resort in Western Massachusetts and Bromley Mountain in Central Vermont. Beginning this year, the new KidsRule Mountain Camps will modernize a traditional approach while increasing the standards of how to teach kids to ski and ride.
The three mountains will focus on teaching life long skills including the mandatory use of helmets. With more than 120 years of combined experience, KidsRule Mountain Camps drew on educational techniques, distinct safety features and specially trained instructors to provide children a uniform confidence-building mountain experience.
Brian Fairbank, President and CEO of all three mountains notes of the program, “We have taken the best practices of all three mountains and, with a focus on safety, instruction and fun, and we have developed a program that will build your child’s confidence while improving their skills on the snow.”
According to Fairbank, the new, combined approach is built on four main practices:
· Focus on safety and security,
· Specially trained teachers,
· Dedicated learning centers,
· Consistent and clear communication between the program and the participating families.
“Starting a relationship with each family begins with that first phone call and assuring the parent safety is our first concern, and then comes fun and learning,” says Karen Dolan, snowsports school director at Cranmore. “We strive to create the best experiences to nurture a lifetime passion for skiing and riding at a young age.”
After enrolling in four lessons, students receive a Season’s Pass. The Season’s Pass is also a newly implemented feature of the program that allows students to further their skills throughout the season at no extra charge to the parents. Further KidsRule lessons can be taken at a 15% discount with Season’s Pass.
The program includes lessons, helmets, hot cocoa breaks, lunch and a daylong lift ticket. Parents can purchase the newly designed helmets in charcoal or pink at a reduced cost of $29 if they do not wish to rent a helmet for each lesson. The helmets are adjustable and will provide safety for many seasons. Lessons are available for kids of all ability levels between the ages of 3-14, and ski and snowboard rentals may be purchased for an additional $20.
