Royal Rajasthan on Wheels now dons a new looks after being painted in color blue during recent refurbishing

(TRAVPR.COM) INDIA - July 26th, 2011 - Color blue is the latest livery of the luxury train Royal Rajasthan on Wheels. The train which earlier used to flaunt golden hues of the desert state of Rajasthan now don’s a completely new color. The month of July and August is the off season for most of the luxury trains in India. It is the time when these trains go for renovation and maintenance for peak season post-monsoon.

Royal Rajasthan on Wheels is the only Indian luxury train to have shed its color twice already and apparently staff of the train is feeling blue over the recent renovation. According to an RTDC official the latest color is a cruel joke as it doesn’t reflect the spirit of the train.

Nobody is taking the responsibility for ordering the repaint of the train. Standing at the Baees Godam Railway Station in Jaipur, the train is yet to be renovated completely as the name and some miniature painting is yet to be completed.

The RTDC is now in a fix and even the employees of the Royal Rajasthan on Wheels are not amused. Whereas this is the third color this luxury trains is donning, it’s more popular counterpart Palace on Wheels still wears the same golden color since 1982 – the year it was launched.
