Rome - Kirkenes - Murmansk - Moscow - Sochi - Rome

(TRAVPR.COM) ITALY AND UK - July 13th, 2011 - Driving to Russia are thrilled to announce the final route plan of the journey scheduled to depart on 09 September 2011 from Italy and to be completed by approximately 09 October 2011.

The journey will depart from the small town of Itri, 150 KM south of Rome, it will reach Murmansk, the largest city north of the Arctic Circle and located in the Barents Sea. It will then move down south to the cities of Astrakhan on the Caspian Sea and Sochi in the Black Sea.

To travel from the North to the South of Russia, the journey will go through the following major cities: Murmansk, Saint Petersburg, Moscow, Voronezh, Volgograd, Astrakhan and Sochi.

During the journey, the following countries will be crossed: Austria, Germany, Czech Republic, Poland, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Finland, Norway, Russia, Ukraine, Moldova, Romania, Bulgaria, Republic of Macedonia and Albania. The total KMs will be in the region of 15000.

About Driving To Russia
Driving to Russia was founded in November 2010 with the intention of starting a series of car journeys across Russia, Eastern Europe and Central Asia with the ultimate goal of collecting useful information for other drivers, passionate about driving from country to country, and who wish to drive the same routes in future.
