Nkwichi Lodge, on Lake Malawi, has recently featured as a cover story in the latest South Africa edition of the National Geographic Traveller Magazine

(TRAVPR.COM) ENGLAND - July 12th, 2011 - Nkwichi Lodge on Lake Malawi, has recently featured as a cover story in the latest South Africa edition of the National Geographic Traveller Magazine. In the article Nkwichi receives copious amounts of praise and compliments, with the word ‘Heaven’ being used to describe the lodge and its surroundings.

Nkwichi is situated within Manda Wilderness in Mozambique on the shores of Lake Niassa, which is part of Lake Malawi. The Lake, spans 1,363,700 hectares and is 700 meters deep, is Mozambique’s part of the third largest and the second deepest lake in Africa.

The lodge is described in the story as being surrounded by ‘white sandy beaches, lapped by a turquoise fresh water lake’, descriptions which would tempt anybody in search of a beautiful relaxing holiday.

The lake has been in the limelight again this month, having been officially declared a reserve by the Government of Mozambique, protecting the species and natural habitats of one of the largest and the most bio-diverse freshwater lakes in the world.
