WAYS TO PLAY IN NEW HAMPSHIRE’S MOUNTAINS FOR LABOR DAY

Ski areas to host Labor Day events and activities for all ages in the Granite State

(TRAVPR.COM) USA - August 21st, 2017 - CONWAY, NH (August 22, 2017)—New Hampshire’s mountainous playgrounds plan to celebrate Labor Day with family-friendly events across the state from Friday, September 1 through Monday, September 4, 2017. In addition to summer activities, such as scenic chairlift rides, mountain coasters, zip lining, mountain biking, and more, Ski New Hampshire members like Bretton Woods, Gunstock Mountain Resort, Loon Mountain Resort, Mount Sunapee Resort, and Waterville Valley Resort will have parties, live music, and fireworks for the unofficial end of summer.


Festivities at Bretton Woods ski area in Bretton Woods, N.H., kick off with special activities such as the Labor Day Hero 5k, the “Take Me Out to Bretton Woods” wiffle ball game, and a Labor Day Selfie Scavenger Hunt, plus traditional hotel activities at the Omni Mount Washington Resort. These events are planned from Friday, September 1, to Monday, September 4.


Labor Day in Waterville Valley Resort in Waterville Valley, N.H. includes live music in the Town Square, an End of Summer Bash with kids’ games and a charity duck race across Corcoran Pond, fireworks, and a Live Animal Encounter show with the Squam Lakes Science Center.

Events in Waterville Valley begin on Friday, September 1 and go through the holiday on Monday.


Gunstock Mountain Resort in Gilford, N.H., will join a busy weekend line up in the Lakes Region with the free Annual Labor Day Weekend Craft Fair on Saturday, September 2, and Sunday, September 3. The fair will host more than 60 exhibitors, showcasing cedar wood furniture, fine jewelry, quilts, glass art, pottery, and more.


For yoga lovers, Mount Sunapee Resort in New London, N.H., will host a Mountaintop Yoga class on Saturday, September 2, and Loon Mountain Resort in Lincoln, N.H. will have another session Sunday, September 3. Both classes include a scenic chairlift ride to and from the summit.


For most of N.H.’s mountain resorts with summer activities, including the aforementioned ski areas and Cranmore Mountain Resort in Conway, N.H., the Labor Day holiday begins the weekend-only operations, which will go through Columbus Day.
