EQUATORIAL GUINEA ROLLS OUT RED CARPET FOR AFRICA-ARAB WORLD SUMMIT
Industry: Events

The spirit of African hospitality awaits visiting delegates, says Victor Mooney

(TRAVPR.COM) USA - September 28th, 2016 - Equatorial Guinea is nearing the final prepatory stages of hosting Africa - Arab World Summit at the Palace of Congress in Sipopo later this year.

The beautiful Palace of Congress serves as a negotiation hall for leaders in the capital city of Malabo. Located on the western coast of Africa near the Guinea Gulf, the transparent rectangular volume is enveloped in a lace-like, sun-shading mesh. The mesh is the color of the local trees and is able to filter the sun to protect the naturally daylit interior from overheating, but it also remains transparent enough to provide stunning views of the ocean and the surrounding forest.

H.E. Obiang Nguema Mbasogo, Head of State, is personally committed to the success of the summit and was honored that the African Union had entrusted Equatorial Guinea with host responsibilities.

The residual effects of the Horizonte 2020 Development Plan have created, hotels, resorts, villas, airports, golf courses, restaurants, spas and stimulated employment for the local community, said Victor Mooney of Spirit of Malabo Group.
