(TRAVPR.COM) VIET NAM - June 8th, 2016 - Viet Nam has typical tropical monsoon climate. While this type of climate is normally equated with rain, Vietnamese weather witnesses the significant variations from one region to another due to the country length of more than 2000 miles from north to south. There is no ideas about the good and the bad time to visit Vietnam, because when one climate zone is cold and dry, the other will be hot and wet. Therefore, as planning for your intended visit and homestay in Vietnam, it is worth unraveling the complexities and keeping your head around it by imaging the country as three particular parts, the north, the central and the south.

The North of Vietnam experiences cool to cold but mostly dry climate during the winter from November to March. The coldest months from January to March can witness the temperature down to 10oC in Hanoi Capital and Halong Bay with heavy mist preventing visibility. The temperature can rise up around 40oC and severe weather like typhoons can happen during the time between July and November.

However, if you want for adventurous experiences or even leisure recreations like kayaking on Halong Bay, cruising on northern seas and rivers, or simply just would like to try summer specialty of the northern Vietnam, enjoying the sun from July to November is also considerable option.

Central Vietnam

The coastal area may suffer harsh storms in the time from August to November. During winter time from December to January, freezing conditions can occur in highlands. Further to southern coastal strip from around Nha Trang to Mui Ne, there is less effect of the rain but longer sunny hour.

If you want to discover the Central part of Vietnam, the best time is December to March because the weather in this time is dry and cool. The summer time in this region, the weather is considered quite harsh, but is nothing for animated minds if they want to discover comprehensively lives of regional people in the way they face the severity of the nature.

Southern Vietnam

Southern part of Vietnam experiences constant temperature of between 25-35oC all year round. The weather is simply split into two main seasons, wet season and dry season. Wet season of the south lasts from May to November with dramatic rainfall, and the highest figures are achieved from June to August. In the far south as Phu Quoc Island, the weather may be really poor with rough seas. The weather tends to be very dry during December to April. February to May is the hottest and most humid time of the year.

December to April is favorable time to travel and stay in the South if you do not want to experience its distinctive wet condition. Although flooding is believed uncomfortable and unfavorable, see how it goes in southern Vietnam can be one of the most memorable experiences of you in this country.
