(TRAVPR.COM) UK - May 4th, 2016 - From the stark beauty of the Great Rift Valley, to the unsurpassed tranquillity of its picturesque lake, there is something remarkable about Malawi. One of Africa's smallest countries, it is often overlooked by the travel industry, in favour of the path more trodden and the allure of big game. Consequently, Malawi makes the ideal Undiscovered Destination.

Launching this summer, independent tour operator, Undiscovered Destinations, will be taking travellers off the beaten track to for an exceptional encounter with natural Malawi. The 15-day tour, which will accommodate groups of no more than 16, provides the ideal opportunity to experience the heart of this stunning country.

Rich and unspoilt, Malawi's landscapes will take the breath away, allowing visitors to hike, kayak, swim and take in the spectacular scenery of the plains, forests and tea plantations. There will be opportunities to meet the native residents, with optional excursions to a local school and a pottery workshop, while lazy days are equally catered for with luxurious accommodation, leisurely drives and mornings by the beach. Additionally, a complementary tour of Zambia's South Luangwa National Park supplies the chance to encounter some of the world's most magnificent creatures – elephants, buffalo, impala, lions and leopards – in their natural environment. This is the Africa we dreamed of as children.

Designed for both families and lone travellers, this tour presents a gentle, yet thorough introduction to the magic of Malawi and its closest neighbour. Accommodation will comprise a blend of lodges, chalets and tented camps, with all meals catered for and all local transportation provided.

The tour costs £2,290, based on two people sharing, and excluding international flights.

This is Undiscovered Destinations' first ever tour in Malawi and Zambia, and it is set to be something truly special.
