EASTER SKI HOLIDAY DEALS
Industry: Ski

With half term out of the way, the next peak on the ski holiday radar is Easter - that moveable feast.

(TRAVPR.COM) UK - March 1st, 2011 - This year it’s the weeks between Friday the 1st of April and Sunday the 24th, plus whatever Teacher Education days are tacked on for good measure.

Usually thinking about booking this close to Easter, especially as there have been some decent snow falls, means that all of the deals have been snapped up long ago. However, this year there are still a few floating about. The trick is knowing where to look, and what to look for.

If you are an avid follower of ski deals then you will already have signed up for various deals newsletters. These are usually fairly regular emails from individual tour operators, which bring as election of their latest offers to your In box. They are easy to unsubscribe from, so don’t worry about getting huge amounts of spam email offers.

Most tour operators have specific ‘ski deals’ web pages, although these may only give a selection of what is available. If you know the dates which you want to travel on then, to get the most comprehensive list of a tour operators availability, search all their resorts and all types of accommodation for those particular dates. This example from Alpine Elements lists all of the deals which they have for the first week of the Ski Easter Holidays. The more clued up companies will offer you alternative options if what they have don’t exactly match your needs.

A final tip is: don’t look purely at the cost of a ski holiday. Tour operators often sweeten the deal with extras, some small and some quite considerable. Free or half price ski hire is a good opener; everyone needs skis and boots! Upgraded service, from Standard to Premium can mean better food, and a little more pampering. Really excellent deals to look for are the ones which offers free lift passes. With some costing over two hundred pounds for a week, free passes can make for a great saving.

Good snow forecast and a smattering of deals means that the savvy skier can still geranb a bargain this Easter - but move quickly!
