Lasting 8 days, this journey will take travelers to almost parts of Ha Giang covering imposing Dong Van karst plateau – the global geopark, Lung Cu flagpole – Vietnam’s the northernmost point, stunning terrace fields in Hoang Su Phi, and Pan Hou ecolodge – where to enjoy fresh life in lovely traditional stilt-houses. Trekking at introductory grade, but travelers will experience a demanding drive on narrow, exceedingly spectacular roads meandering around massive mountains, dazed hairpin turns, and heavenly misty passes.

This route is a great chance to view adorable landscapes only in Ha Giang, with radiant wildflower grounds of daisy and cockscombs, poetic buckwheat and mustard flower fields, towering karst mountains, terraced fields, dizzy hairpin turns, and to encounter colorful ethnic tribes, who are extremely original.

Ha Giang has been populated by minor groups for hundred years, majorly Hmong, Tay and Dao.  As the most secluded area in Vietnam, used to be isolated until the Happiness Road leading here was constructed, tribes in Ha Giang has maintained almost intact their culture and character. They are still wearing traditional clothes and living traditional lifestyles.

This adventure will start from Hanoi and get direction to Ha Giang.

After leaving the first trekking spot - Tha village, the journey continue to Quan Ba town, where features weird Twin Mountains and Quan Ba heaven gate – the former wall isolated between Dong Van plateau and the plain before the Happiness Road accomplished.

The next stop is Meo Vac border town. Set a light trek along banks of the Nho Que river to villages of Tay and Nung races and immerse in colorful, animated, original atmosphere of an rotating market here, before overcoming imposing Ma Pi Leng pass to reach Dong Van district. The top of this pass is the best location to contemplate gentle Nho Que river under deep chasm winding along gigantic mountains. In Dong Van district, the trip will include a visit to H’mong King Palace – an incredible construction, a trek through valleys and villages, and a stroll around Dong Van old quarter highlight with rammed earth houses – vestiges of olden days.

Farewell Dong Van, the journey heads to Vietnam’s northernmost point – Lung Cu flag pole. Take a walk through Pho Bang – an overslept ancient town amazingly peaceful - and admire the valley of roses, travelers will then direct to Hoang Su Phi via Yen Minh district, one of the most magnificent rice terrace area in North Vietnam. The adventure finally finish in Pan Hou ecolodge.
