Independent travel agents and staff from KHM Travel Group and LoveShack Vacations recently visited and shared donations for the children of Tiny Hope Children's Home in Jamaica.

(TRAVPR.COM) UNITED STATES - March 16th, 2015 - Brunswick, Ohio - Keeping with its tradition of giving back, KHM Travel Group's February FAM trip to Jamaica included a special visit and donation to Tiny Hope Children's Home.

Tiny Hope is an organization which provides shelter, food, education and other necessities to abandoned and abused children living in the Ocho Rios area. Started by Denise Pecci, and run by "Aunt Jackie," the abandoned rest stop is currently home to 20 children. During the summer months, they will house an additional 50-80 children ranging in age from toddlers to teens.

Touched by the story of this organization, a group of 45 KHM Travel Group team members, travel agents, and representatives from Funjet Vacations opted to take time during a FAM trip to personally deliver items they collected for the children. The donations included a bus full of school supplies, games, toiletries, toys, books, and other items.

Team member and travel agent Melissa Rice from Ohio brought along contributions and drawings from her son's school. Another agent gave the children handmade bracelets.

During the visit, agents were able to bond with the children and tour their living conditions, which do not include electricity and running water.

"I was so honored to be a part of this, especially because KHM Travel Group is the only of my travel agency accounts that makes a point to do a give back when in destination. That says a lot about the company, the travel agents and their desire to do good in this world," said Funjet Vacations Business Development Manager Jenny Warren. 

The agents and staff were so touched by the children's stories that one agent is already planning to return to Tiny Hope Children's Home this October.
