IRCTC has formally invited US President Barack Obama and his family to experience the grandeur and magnificence of the majestic Maharajas’ Express.

(TRAVPR.COM) INDIA - January 23rd, 2015 - To provide a glimpse of the opulence and brilliance of Maharajas’ Express, IRCTC has formally invited the US President to travel to Agra in utmost luxury. The invitation was sent through the Ministry of External Affairs, after taking clearance from the Prime Minister’s Office. IRCTC has initiated this step with the thought, that if the invitation is accepted, then it will do wonders for the luxury tourism in India. This will definitely add another feather in the crown of Maharajas’ Express that has already amazed luxury travel fraternity with its colossal achievements and accolades.     

IRCTC Chairman and MD A.K. Manocha informed about the invitation, which was sent to the US officials, a week ago. President Obama three-day visit of India will start on 25th of January and he is scheduled to visit the Taj Mahal in Agra on 27th January, from where he will leave for the US. This is the first time that a US President will attend the 26th January parade in India, making the event much more special and memorable. US President’s visit to Delhi and Agra has tightened up the security at both these places.  

Maharajas’ Express wishes to render a royal tour of Agra to Barack Obama and his family, as this would be the ideal way to offer an imperial treatment to him. If time is a constraint, then he can plan a short ride around Delhi or can even enjoy the delectable cuisines inside the splendid train. Though, if he can spare some time then the train could cover the distance between Delhi and Agra in around two-and-a-half hours. If the invitation is accepted from the US authorities, then Obama and his family will be travelling in presidential suite of the Maharajas’ Express.
