GRAND CANYON TOURS' UNVEILS NEW FALL 2014 TRIPS
Industry: Tours

Fall Grand Canyon tours are back! Pick from helicopter, airplane, bus and more. Up to 35% off. Advanced bookings recommended!

(TRAVPR.COM) USA - September 29th, 2014 - With summer over, Grand Canyon Tours is pleased to announce that's its released a slate of trips designed specially for the fall holiday season.

"Temperatures are cooling off and that makes this season prime for National Park sightseeing," said Keith Kravitz, CEO of Grand Canyon Tours.

Tours are available from Las Vegas and Tusayan, AZ, and range from helicopter and airplane flights to bus and rafting adventures. "Air or ground, there's a trip for everyone," said Kravitz.

Helicopter Rides

There are a number of deluxe helicopter tours that are ideal for this time of the year. In addition to the Canyon, these special Vegas packages include limousine service and rides over the world-famous Strip.

Deluxe packages also feature the superior EcoStar 130 helicopter, an aircraft that features a larger cabin that's outfitted with a 180-degree wraparound windshield and stadium-style seating.

"The EcoStar 130 is by far the way to go for helicopter travelers," noted Kravitz. "The views are great and it's incredibly comfortable. Indeed, there's a price to pay for luxury and this is a clear-cut case where it's worth it."

The most popular Vegas tour will undoubtedly be the helicopter that lands at the bottom. "This particular flight has year-on-year been fall's bestseller," noted Kravitz. "It can even be extended with a boat ride down the Colorado River."

Travelers can also purchase South Rim deluxe packages. Unlike Vegas helicopters, South Rim flights are not permitted to fly below the rim and land. Instead, travelers pick from 30-minute and 50-minute rides.

"The 30-minute flight goes from the South Rim to the North Rim and back," noted Kravitz. "The 50-minute one does the same as well as everything up to the Park's eastern boundary. Once completed, a traveler will have seen up to 75 percent of the Park."

Airplane Tours

The majority of airplane tours originate from Las Vegas and are available as air-only or landing. "Planes get to the West Rim in about 30-minutes," said Kravitz. From there, it's either fly over the Canyon or land at the top."

Kravitz notes that the best Vegas airplane deal is the one that lands and comes with a helicopter ride to the bottom. "This tour is fantastic," he said. "It combines an airplane flight with a helicopter ride and can even include a Colorado River boat ride."

The other Vegas plane trip that will make fall travelers happy is the direct flight to the South Rim. "Planes make the trip in under and hour," said Kravitz. "This is quite notable when you consider it takes 5.5 hours to driver there."

The South Rim is limited to one airplane tour. Like the 50-minute helicopter, the plane follows a circuitous route that lets the traveler see a majority of the Park and all it's key highlights in under an hour.

Bus Tours

Vegas bus tours leave daily and go to the West Rim and the South Rim. West Rim tours this fall include multiple side trips, including VIP Skywalk tickets and helicopter rides to the bottom.

Also for fall is the South Rim bus tour. This classic road trip comes with all taxes and fees and lunch and can be upgraded to include a 30-minute helicopter tour.
