Waterville Valley will host the inaugural Mad River Endurafest on August 2 and 3, featuring five different races and events for every member of the family.

(TRAVPR.COM) USA - July 15th, 2014 - Waterville Valley Resort, NH -- Waterville Valley will host the inaugural Mad River Endurafest on August 2 and 3, featuring five different races and events for every member of the family. 

The weekend kicks off on Saturday, August 2, with a road, off-road and youth triathlons and concludes on Sunday, August 3 with a 10k road run and a 6.5-mile trail run. The weekend will include plenty activities and attractions for families making for a great summer getaway weekend in the heart of the White Mountains.

The Mad River Endurafest is part of Sun Multisport Events’ award-winning race series and will feature “swag” for all participating athletes, plus awards and prizes with each event. Race on both days of the weekend and you’ll receive a special giveaway. Plus, all teams of 10 or more receive a cash rebate of $100 and a chance to win $500 more and other great prizes.

The weekend will also play host to Waterville Valley Resort’s 15th Annual Chocolate Fest, which will take place Saturday, August 2 in Town Square from 6 to 8:30 p.m.  Fireworks will cap off the event over Corcoran Pond at 8:30pm. A live performance by Scarlett Moon will accompany the sweet treats and ice creams, provided by local Town Square restaurants.  Locally roasted coffee drinks will be available from the Mad River Coffee Roasters, of Campton, NH.  The concert is free and desserts and beverages are to be sold by the piece.

With so much to do in Town Square, the festival makes for a great family vacation.  While the athletes swim, bike and run, spouses and children can rent bicycles, go for a paddleboat ride, relax on the beach at Corcoran Pond, or go shopping in Town Square.
