The Aurora Zone is launching a new form of Aurora hunting this winter in the tiny and remote village of Nellim in Finnish Lapland – heated Aurora Sleighs.

(TRAVPR.COM) UK - June 20th, 2014 - Pulled by snowmobiles, the snug sleds – complete with heating, comfy seating and transparent walls and roof – allow guests to be transported through the Arctic wilderness, to admire the night sky in style (and warmth) from the back of a moving sleigh.

Embark on an Aurora Sleigh Safari and travel in one of these Northern Lights-viewing cocoons 250km north of the Arctic Circle which, deep in the light pollution-free wilderness, is home to many fantastic vantage points. Here, in the midst of a frozen lake, you’ll be served warm berry juice. Alternatively, opt for the sleigh ride and a romantic dinner à deux at an Aurora Camp on Lake Inari. Travelling to and from the camp by sled, the guide-turned-chef will put together a three-course meal which you’ll enjoy in an intimate and mesmerising setting around an open fire.
