HMH - HOSPITALITY MANAGEMENT HOLDINGS CONFIRMS PARTICIPATION IN ARABIAN TRAVEL MARKET 2014
Industry: Events

HMH - Hospitality Management Holdings will be present in full force at the Arabian Travel Market (ATM) 2014.

(TRAVPR.COM) UAE - March 25th, 2014 - HMH - Hospitality Management Holdings will be present in full force at the Arabian Travel Market (ATM) 2014. On show will be its complete portfolio of five diverse yet complementary brands - namely The Ajman Palace, Coral Hotels & Resorts, Corp Hotels, ECOS Hotels and EWA Hotel Apartments - catering to varied market segments from luxury to budget, and 20 hotels located in some of the most lucrative destinations across the MENA region. In addition, there will be some key announcements related to exciting developments at the group.

The new developments at HMH, led by CEO Laurent A. Voivenel, mark a substantial shift in strategy since the company's inception more than a decade ago. He said, "HMH provides hotel owners and developers a broad spectrum of comprehensive management solutions. Over the years, we have established an excellent reputation with our brands offering a safe, alcohol-free environment that has given us a unique niche both regionally and globally. Moving forward, we are definitely stepping into a new era and redirecting resources to areas where we have identified opportunities to create value with greater local relevance. Being the leading international travel and tourism fair dedicated to unlocking business potential in the Middle East, ATM offers us the perfect platform to talk about these.

"Besides promoting our various brands and existing hotels, we will be showcasing our five upcoming hotels due to open later this year i.e. Coral Muscat Hotel & Apartments, Coral Dubai Sports City Hotel & Apartments, Coral Beirut Concorde Hotel, Ewa Port Sudan Hotel & Apartments, Ewa Khartoum Hotel & Apartments. These new openings will boost our existing portfolio of hotels by 25%. We will also be unveiling the new brand identity for Coral Hotels & Resorts as well as new e-commerce friendly multi-lingual websites for all our brands."

HMH is looking to double the number of its hotels in the UAE by 2020 and is focusing on home turf UAE.  Laurent stressed, "We wish to grow the path according to our strategic plan that is sustainable in a physical sense. It is not only about business opportunities out there. Therefore, our expansion plans are at the moment strongly focused on the UAE. We are a home-grown Emirati company and our primary focus continues to be on the UAE, followed by GCC.  Dubai's successful bid for World Expo 2020 will be a massive stimulant for the entire (GCC) region's hospitality and meetings industry accelerating economic growth and development. The Expo will deliver global exposure for the UAE and its tourism sector, including its world-class infrastructure. Being based in Dubai, it will no doubt unlock a world of opportunities for HMH and our various brands. We therefore look ahead with a great deal of confidence and excitement."

HMH is eager to set its foot in the budget segment. Laurent said, "Hotel stock in the Middle East including the UAE is predominantly geared towards luxury and up-market accommodation leaving a huge gap and opportunity for budget hotels that we are keen to develop. Definitely, what Dubai and the rest of the region needs is more budget hotels and that is what we are focusing on developing at the moment. It is the best time to do so as Dubai has given a tax reprieve to investors developing mid-market hotels by exempting eligible hotels from 10 per cent municipality fee levied on the daily room rate for a period of four years if the construction permit is granted between October 1, 2013 and December 31, 2017. We are eager to target this largely untapped market for mid-scale and economy hotels in the region with ECOS Hotels that will be a perfect fit with its economical and ecological concept. To start with we have 3 different projects under consideration in the UAE."

Stand Location
Visitors can find HMH on Stand HC5130 opposite Hall No. 2 in Sheikh Saeed Arena at Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre.
