ADELYN NGION APPOINTED TO DRIVE TMS ACADEMY BUSINESS
Industry: Associations

Strategic business expert Adelyn Ngion has taken management responsibility for globally-spread executive training specialist – the TMS Academy.

(TRAVPR.COM) AUSTRALIA - November 7th, 2010 - TMS Asia-Pacific CEO Andrew Chan has appointed strategic business expert Adelyn Ngion to take management responsibility for the company’s globally-spread executive training division – the TMS Academy.

Announcing the appointment Mr Chan said Ms Ngion, who will take the role of Regional Director, had already played an instrumental part in the TMS Academy securing key agreements that have taken the executive training division on to a truly international footing in recent weeks.

These include an agreement with international hotel chain Design Hotels™ and more recently, the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the Hospitality Financial and Technology Professionals (HFTP) Asia chapter.

As part of the Design Hotels™ agreement TMS Academy will provide the company with a series of revenue management workshops purpose-built to provide Design Hotel™ members with an understanding of best practice processes within a revenue management culture.”

Under the terms of the HFTP MOU, TMS Academy will administer internationally recognised British Association of Hospitality Accountants (BAHA). training programs to Asia-based HFTP chapter members.

Prior to joining TMS Academy Ms Ngion held several senior roles in hospitality and the private sector cutting her teeth in client and product management, corporate communications and corporate services management.

All these, Mr Chan said, would play a key role in her building the TMS Academy concept both within the regions where TMS is already active – and beyond

TMS officially entered into the executive training arena in July 2009 with the launch of its first ‘TMS Academy’ in Singapore and has since gone on to establish similar concepts in Bangkok, Beijing, Shanghai and Sydney.

TMS Academy has also received accreditation from the Workforce Development Agency of Singapore and is officially listed as a registered training school in Singapore.

Mr Chan said a key tenet of the overall TMS Academy concept was the company’s ongoing commitment to supporting the needs of the travel and hospitality sector.

“The TMS Academy offers a supportive and encouraging environment of resourceful peer-to-peer learning for talented and aspiring individuals wishing to transform themselves into skilled, globally employable professionals,” he said.

“As importantly we are playing a major role in assisting the sector by helping to increase excellent service concepts for all professionals via constant education and training.

“Having Adelyn on board represents a major coup for the TMS Academy – by application she is very capable of delivering the goods.”
