LA RESIDENCE EXPLORES FIVE SENSES OF HUE
Industry: Hotels

(TRAVPR.COM) VIETNAM - May 27th, 2013 - HUE, Vietnam — The most seductive destination in all Vietnam is on the verge of exploiting its subtle charms with a new guest package from La Residence Hotel & Spa called the Five Senses of Hue.

Designed as an indulgence for honeymooners but available to all guests, the new US $750 net package touches on each of the five senses as such:

  • Sight. Accommodation for two nights in a Deluxe River View Room, overlooking the Perfume River and the imperial citadel of Old Hue.
  • Touch. ‘Romancing the Perfume River’, a spa treatment that gets underway with a sauna or steam bath, segues into a full facial, thence to Swedish massage and lastly to a foot massage.
  • Scent. A gift bottle of the hotel’s signature scent, Woody Ylang, a melding of cinnamon, patchouli, ylang and a number of other secret ingredients.
  • Taste. A Colonial Dinner, prepared by one of the country’s most renowned chefs and Hue native, La Thua An, including a bottle of Austrian wine.
  • Sound. A gift compilation of music by one of the city’s most sensual vocalists, Camille Huyen, who is a Hue native and now a resident of Switzerland.

“Unless you know Vietnam intimately, you probably don’t know that Hue is the country’s most soulful destination,” said the hotel’s general manager, Phan Trong Minh, himself a Hue native. “Despite Vietnam’s headlong rush into the 21st Century, Hue more than any other destination within the country, has preserved a clear sense of itself as it was.”

Five Senses of Hue, said the general manager, is an attempt to ensure that every guest experiences the destination in the profoundest way possible.

Fives Senses of Hue will become available on July 1 and remain effective for bookings on stays through Dec. 31, 2013.

ABOUT LA RESIDENCE

Set on a two-hectare site with 200 meters of frontage on the fabled Perfume River, La Residence celebrated its grand opening in December 2005 after a painstaking restoration of the former colonial governor’s residence. The hotel’s distinctive bowed façade, its long horizontal lines and nautical flourishes are hallmarks of the streamline moderne school of art deco architecture.

The hotel’s 122 rooms and suites, restaurants, lounges, bars and conference room are tricked out in complementary art-deco furnishings and décor that evoke both the 1920s and 1950s. The hotel’s fine-dining venue, Le Parfum, serves Mediterranean and French cuisine, as well as dishes from an expansive Vietnamese menu.

The conference facilities, including board rooms, can accommodate 140 guests. WiFi Internet access at the hotel is complimentary.
