Four videos by Dennis Oppenheim are being shown at Paris' Musee Rodin.

(TRAVPR.COM) UK - September 9th, 2010 - Fans of Dennis Oppenheim can see a collection of his videos during their stay in one of the fine hotels Paris (http://www.hotels-paris.co.uk/) has to offer.

Running from October 5th to 31st 2010 at the Musee Rodin, the exhibition showcases four creations by the American artist, with the focus of the display being the hand.

Each one of the videos shows a different situation in which Oppenheim has involved his hand, with one seeing him crush a fern, another shaking hands "compulsively" and a piece that sees the body part covered in natural elements, the venue observed.

"At the crossroads of land art, conceptual art and corporal art, the work of Dennis Oppenheim (born in 1938 in the USA) questions the process of artistic creation and the mark of the artist's gesture upon it," added the organisers.

In a passage quoted on Oppenheim's official website, Eleanor Heartney describes how his work was at different stages heavily related to the body, machinery and finally "the triumph of irrationality and chaos".

The cost of entering the museum is €6 (£4.90) and this pass will allow visitors to see the videos in question.

Opening hours are from 10:00 to 17:45 local time every day, except for Mondays when the art space is closed.
