Jon Nicholson Transitions to Director of Product Development to Create Engaging Itineraries and Deliver Seamless Operations

(TRAVPR.COM) UNITED STATES - October 10th, 2012 - SEATTLE, WA - Zegrahm Expeditions, the leader in small-ship cruising and overland adventures, is excited to announce the appointment of Edwin Blythe as the company’s president. Blythe, who took the helm on October 1, 2012, previously served as Finance Director of Quark Expeditions. Jon Nicholson, former President of Zegrahm, will stay with the company and transition to Director of Product Development.

“I have immensely enjoyed my time leading the Zegrahm family, but I wanted to transition to a role where I could spend more time doing what I am truly passionate about – developing unique product and delivering seamless operations,” stated Jon Nicholson, former President of Zegrahm Expeditions. “I am confident that Zegrahm is in very capable hands with Edwin, who brings significant experience in adventure travel and managing a small-ship cruising operation.”

During his tenure as president, Nicholson managed Zegrahm’s acquisition process by TUI Travel, returned the company to a multi-ship strategy, and continuously developed unique and engaging itineraries.

During 2011 and 2012, Blythe was instrumental in providing financial leadership while supporting Quark Expeditions in delivering its most successful Arctic and Antarctic programs in recent years. Prior to joining Quark, Blythe held notable financial and leadership roles outside the travel industry.
