The European Renaissance Music Festival, an event featuring internationally renowned musical artists, is scheduled to take place this year at the end of September in Amboise in France's beautiful Loire Valley.

By 1516, Francis I was inviting Leonardo da Vinci to the town of Amboise, where the château is situated. Da Vinci stayed in the château as a royal guest, remaining there until his death in 1519.

Clos Lucé is connected to the Château d'Amboise, another royal residence, by means of an underground passageway. Above ground, the two are only 500 metres apart.
