AA National Finalists!
In June of this year we announced the fantastic news of Big Game Parks success in becoming regional finalists for the prestigious AA Quality Assured Accommodation awards. Reilly's Rock Hilltop Lodge(Mlilwane Wildlife Sanctuary) and Mkhaya Game Reserve, both of which were nominated for the award, have since had the news that they have also become National Finalists. This is a great achievement, meaning that not only will they be recognised for the quality and standard regionally, but also nationally. Big Game Parks' Annual MTB Event Better Than Ever
On 9th June 2012 Swaziland's Imvelo MTB Classic 2012 (arguably Swaziland's Mount bike event of the year) brought cyclists of all ages and abilities from Swaziland, its regional and even international neighbours to tackle the mountainous terrain at Big Game Parks' Mlilwane Wildlife Sanctuary. This year's event which included the 64km Classic Race, 33km Challenge Race, 22km Spur Family Fun Race and 12.5km Hoglet Race surpassed even its predecessors by selling out within just 30. In addition to showcasing Mlilwane as a wonderful outdoor destination where visitors can enjoy nature on foot, mountain bike, horse-back or guided/self-guided vehicles, the event also raises funds for the sanctuary's conservation and community efforts, including its neighbouring community Hlabazonke.
New Overnight Bush Trails at Hlane & Mkhaya
BGP have recently announced their latest tour - a new overnight bush trail. The tour is fully catered for and comes as either a one or two night option. Giving one of the best opportunities to explore the Hlane Royal National Park and Mkhaya Game reserve, feedback from tourist who have already experienced this seem as though the tour is certainly a hit! New addition to Chubeka Trails Family
On 20th July Ambition, Chubeka Trails lovely Warmblood/Arab mare, gave birth to a gorgeous little foal - the newest addition to the Chubeka trails family. Named Jabulani, this little beauty already seems to have quite a fan club and will join its mum as part of Chubeka Trails which seems to have been hitting all the right notes recently. Feedback from the trails most recent group to experience its overnight cave trail suggests it's definitely a night to remember!
