Yankee Magazine September/October issue features the iconic Lakes Region of New Hampshire as the ultimate fall destination

(TRAVPR.COM) UNITED STATES - August 21st, 2012 - Laconia, New Hampshire – Amy Landers, Executive Director of the Lakes Region Tourism Association announced that the popular Yankee Magazine will feature the Lakes Region of New Hampshire with stories on the autumn glory of the region.  The cover photo shows a beautiful fall scene overlooking Lake Waukewan and inside provides a tour through the heart of New Hampshire by Yankee writer William Scheller and photographs by Rob Bossi.

The issue is packed full of exquisite autumn scenes which include some famous locations such as the Manor on Golden Pond and a more isolated view from an old road off Route 171 in the Moultonborough area.

“We are so honored to have Yankee Magazine help us show and inform everyone about the incredible place that we are lucky enough to call home!”, states Landers. “Many people think of the Lakes Region in New Hampshire as a summer destination, which is certainly is, but there’s truly nothing like an autumn day touring our lakes and mountains!”

The September/October Yankee Magazine issue is on stands August 28th, and would be a great collector issue for anyone who lives and loves theLakes Region of New Hampshire.  The Lakes Region Tourism Associationrecently unveiled its new brand identity as they marked 75 years of service in guiding tourists throughout the region.

The Lakes Region Tourism Association is the official tourism board of the region, representing close to 100 communities, 273 lakes and ponds, and more than 400 businesses in central New Hampshire, including area attractions, restaurants, retail establishments and accommodations.
