(TRAVPR.COM) UAE - August 21st, 2012 - Underlining the global appeal of Dubai as a destination, as well as its attraction for markets from incentive travel to shopping breaks, the Grand Millennium Dubai is participating in a number of trade events to familiarise overseas operators with its location, facilities and packages.
In September, management will be present at the Chinese Visitor Summit being held in Dubai over two days where top producing agents and Chinese MICE houses will be seeking products and deals suitable for the world’s top emerging market.
“Shopping is a must for brand conscious Chinese travelers and our prime location in the heart of new Dubai is ideal with Mall of the Emirates, Ibn Battuta Mall and Dubai Mall all within easy reach,” according to Peter Mansourian, General Manager of the Grand Millennium Dubai.
“These visitors only stay for a few days but one advantage is that they are prepared to travel in the off peak seasons and we also see potential for the corporate travel sector.”
Other markets being targeted by the sales team of the Grand Millennium Dubai include Europe, GCC region, South America and Russia, as well as the events and meetings sector.
The hotel will showcase its new packages specifically designed for the Russian traveller at Leisure 2012 in Moscow this September, again with a focus on building a loyalty to tap in to one of the key global outbound markets.
Other sales activities for the fourth quarter include participation and presence of Grand Millennium Dubai at World Travel Market in London in November, and at EIBTM in Barcelona in December.
Ghassan Farhat, Director of Sales said “The World Travel Market will again prove effective in tapping into that traditional source of both leisure and business travel for the hotel.”
Located just off the Sheikh Zayed Road, the Grand Millennium is centrally located close to the Mall of the Emirates and the Ibn Battuta Mall, as well as offering easy access to beach and golf relaxation.
The 343-room hotel features a rooftop pool, a range of restaurant and bar venues, including Asian and Italian restaurants, and is just 20 minutes’ from the international airport and adjacent to the Dubai Metro.
