DirectRooms.com can announce that the 14th edition of La Parisienne women’s race will be taking place on 12th September 2010.

(TRAVPR.COM) THAILAND - 12th August, 2010 - The race will see up to 18,000 women running through the centre of Paris in an effort to raise money for sufferers of breast cancer. Proceeds from the event will be donated to the French medical institute, “Fondation pour la Recherche Médicale” (FRM).

Visitors to France staying in Paris hotels can go and cheer on the competitors from 10:00am on Sunday 12th September 2010. The course covers a distance of 6km and encompasses famous landmarks such as the Eiffel Tower as it winds itself from Pont d’léna through to the finish line at Champ de Mars.

The race will have a Brazilian theme this year with runners and spectators being entertained by Brazilian music and dancers spread out along the circuit.

Over the course of the weekend women can also attend a wellness village that will feature fitness, yoga and dance classes as well as health specialists giving advice on topics such as nutrition and physiotherapy.

The race organizers will be handing out prizes for the winning individual runners and for the specialist categories which include mother and daughter teams, friends teams (made up of five people) and companies.
