DirectRooms.com can reveal that the third edition of the World Heritage Travel Expo will be taking place from 16th to 18th September this year in Macau.

(TRAVPR.COM) THAILAND - 11th August, 2010 - The show will see participation from the leading historic sites and heritage destinations from around the world. Topics under discussion will include the best methods for site protection and restoration, as well as ways to maintain sustainable tourism development.

The expo will feature over 100 companies from the tourism industry including airlines, hotels, travel agents as well as national and regional tourist boards. The previous year in 2008 saw 1,800 trade visitors and 20,000 members of the public attending the event.

With the increased number of people making their way to the Chinese region, visitors looking for cheap Macau hotels are likely to find availability more difficult than usual.

The show is being prepared by a multitude of tourism bodies including the World Tourism Organization, China National Tourism Administration and the Macau Tourist Office.

Tourism executives can also attend The World Heritage Forum and the Best Practice World Heritage Site Award which will be running at the same time as the expo. Each of the events will be held within the Venetian Convention and Exhibition Center in Macau.
