The tour begins in Jerusalemwith a welcome dinner and a visit to the Old City, divided into Christian, Jewish, Armenian, and Muslim quarters. Explore these different quarters with a stop at the Via Dolorosa and the Church of the Holy Sepulcher in the Christian Quarter, and walk through the restored Jewish Quarter to the Western Wall and Rabbinical Tunnels. Depart Jerusalem and descend through the Judean Desert to the lowest point in the world, the Dead Sea. The tour then heads north to explore the Jordan Valley, with a visit toBeitShe’an, the extra-ordinary site of the Greco-Roman city destroyed by an earthquake that is now a thriving modern city. Continue toKibbutz Beit Alpha to view the remains of an ancient synagogue.  Travelers stay at the deluxe Leonardo Plaza Tiberias Hotel, located on the shores of the Sea of Galilee, as they explore the area.

Begin the next day of touring with a boat ride across the Sea of Galilee,and a visit toCapernaum, believed to be the site of St. Peter’s House. Then ascend to the Kabbalistic city of Safed to explore the art galleries and synagogues. Drive through the Golan Heights to the former Syrian fortifications, and continue to a Druze Village to learn about this unique culture. Then drive to the Mediterranean coast to visitCaesarea, the Roman capital of Judea. Check in at the Daniel Herzliya Hotel, located on the beach.

The tour concludes inThe White City of Tel Aviv, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, with a walk through the colorful Carmel Market and the artist colony ofNeveZedek. Lastly, enjoy ancient Jaffa and a farewell dinner at a local restaurant.
