Four new paintings from Chin Kong Yee will be displayed at a Kuala Lumpur art space from next month.

(TRAVPR.COM) ASIA  - 27th July, 2010 - Art lovers are sure to have their time in Kuala Lumpur brightened up if they visit the Wei Ling Gallery next month, which is set to host a new display from Chin Kong Yee.

Under the title "New Landscapes", the exhibition will involve four large paintings created by the artist. As the heading may suggest, these will focus on the theme of scenery, a matter which has always fascinated him.

According to the venue, which was opened in 2002, the artist chose to consider the way in which a single painting on two canvases can be rearranged to form a scene that looks completely different.

It means that each of the pictures has two different panels, which can be slid from one side to the other to change the way it looks.

"New Landscapes shows us Chin Kong Yee's strength as an artist and his desire to continue making paintings which excite the senses," the gallery commented.

Opening hours are between 11:00 and 19:00 local time from Monday to Friday and 10:00 to 17:00 on Saturday, while Sunday viewings are by appointment only.
