POWDER N SHINE UNVEIL THEIR THIRD CHALET “SAPIN DE REBERTY” IN REBERTY VILLAGE, LES MENUIRES, PART OF THE THREE VALLEYS. FAT DUCK CHEF BRENDAN PRATT ALSO RETURNS FOR A SECOND YEAR
Following on from two successful winter seasons, Powder N Shine have added to their chalet portfolio with another large chalet. Like the two previous chalets, situated at 2000m and literally on the piste, guests will have the best possible skiing experience given the high altitude, direct access from the ski room to the piste (5m walk) and unparalleled access to the largest skiing area in the world – the Three Valleys.
(TRAVPR.COM)UK - July 10th, 2012 - With the launch of their third chalet for their third year, Powder N Shine are able to offer couples, groups, families and individuals a distinctly personal and rustic Alpine skiing experience with a major focus on food and wine.
A traditional, wooden built chalet filled with sophisticated character and charm, ‘Sapin de Reberty’ will endure the same painstaking renovations as Flocon des Neiges and Le Chamois, their project for the past two summers, and will be worked on throughout the whole of this summer. Steve and Francesca, a British couple who moved to the area in 2009 were a team in Flocon des Neiges and Le Chamois for the first and second season and will be looking after a small dedicated team next season - visiting the chalets daily in order to ensure no dilution of their personal touch, which their guests value enormously.
The fully catered chalet which sleeps 18 people has a very large communal living and dining area, with a striking central fireplace that guests can enjoy. Following a full breakfast and an energetic day on the slopes, guests will be greeted back at the chalet with freshly baked cakes and treats before relieving their aches and pains in the chalet’s sauna and hot tub. The jacuzzi is in fact on the private terrace outside in Sapin de Reberty, which gives it further desirability for guests. Each evening a freshly prepared 4-course evening meal will be served in the dining room, complimented with carefully selected wines before relaxing next to the fire.
Brendan Pratt, a young, enthusiastic and award-warning chef who has trained in some of the UK’s best establishments including The Fat Duck, The Waterside Inn (both 3* Michelin) and The Ledbury will be returning to Powder N Shine for a second year.
The location of the chalets are in Reberty Village in the Belleville Valley is part of the Three Valleys and offers easy access to other resorts such as Meribel, Courchevel and Val Thorens – a real hidden gem of the 3 Valleys. One major plus is its excellent location situated right on the piste to give fabulous ski in / ski out access. It also benefits from being at high altitude (2000m), ensuring excellent snow all season.
Notes to editors: Powder N Shine was created in early 2010 and sits in the semi-luxury market, offering excellent food and wine, in a high altitude (2000m) resort on the piste with all en-suite bedrooms and jacuzzi and sauna facilities, but without the astronomical price tag of the full luxury operators.
