Snow Patrol will play at the Araneta Coliseum in August.
(TRAVPR.COM)UK - July 10th, 2012 - Irish alternative rockers Snow Patrol are heading to The Philippines in August to play a concert at the Araneta Coliseum in Manila.
The band formed in Scotland in 1994 and released two albums - Songs for Polarbears and When It's All Over We Still Have to Clear Up - before enjoying mainstream success with their third LP, Final Straw.
Containing the hit singles Run, Chocolate and How to Be Dead, the album was certified five times platinum in the UK and went on to sell more than three million copies worldwide.
Snow Patrol followed up Final Straw with the release of 2006's Eyes Open, which spawned the singles You're All I Have and the Grammy-nominated Chasing Cars.
Last November, the group released their latest album Fallen Empires, which was partly written in California's iconic Joshua Tree National Park.
The band are set to perform in Manila on Thursday August 9th as part of a brief tour of the Asia-Pacific region that also includes shows in Hong Kong, Singapore and South Korea.
