The cost of this weeklong Royal Rajasthan excursion begins from an introductory price of USD 825 per person per night and includes cost of journey, accommodation, guided sightseeing tours, onboard meals and cultural programs.
The brain child of Rajasthan Tourism and Development Corporation (RTDC) and the Indian Railways, Royal Rajasthan on Wheels chugs out from Safdarjung Railway Station every Sunday to provide royal rail tours in Rajasthan. During the course of 8 days and 7 night’s journey, the Indian luxury train crisscrosses the erstwhile princely states of Rajasthan. The destinations of Rajasthan covered by this deluxe train include Jodhpur, Udaipur, Chittorgarh, Sawai Madhopur and Jaipur. Apart from destinations in Rajasthan, the train makes halt in the land of sensuality and spirituality- Khajuraho and Varanasi respectively.
True to its name, Royal Rajasthan on Wheels has been designed to replicate the cultural ethos of erstwhile princely states in its décor. With a capacity to accommodate 88 guests in all, the 14 guest cabins of this luxury tourist train are set with state of the art amenities such as Wi-Fi internet, room safe, channel music and en-suite bathrooms to provide modern comforts. Additional facilities like two restro-bars, nonchalant lounge, souvenir coach and a royal spa have been instituted in this train to provide complete experience of a royal rail tour.
