The total number of serviced apartments has increased quite considerably in the past year even in a time of recession

(TRAVPR.COM) UNITED KINGDOM - ^9th July 2010 – The Serviced Apartment Sector is optimistic about the future of the industry in a time of worldwide economic downturn.

This is the main conclusion of the 2nd Global Serviced Apartment Industry Report, which was launched by The Apartment Service at the recently held Business Travel & Meetings Show in London.

The report focuses on the major challenges faced by serviced apartment operators worldwide in light of the current economic situation and looks at how it has affected individual operators in 6 key regions.

The report also publishes an update of the total number of serviced apartments worldwide and this total has grown by more than 10% compared to the 2008 report.

Serviced apartments are becoming more and more an essential part of the ’thinking process’ on how SME and large corporate clients handle their staff accommodation requirements and this includes Hotel Booking Agents and Travel Management Companies.
