International opera star Michael Maniaci to come to New Hampshire for one night only

(TRAVPR.COM) USA - June 21st, 2012 - Peterborough, NH—Monadnock Music has announced that one of the most celebrated stars of the world opera stage will perform in New Hampshire for one night, to a small audience as a benefit.

To celebrate the 47th season of Monadnock Music, opera singer Michael Maniaci will perform on July 7th, 2012 to benefit the nationally respected festival  that has brought the world’s greatest music to the Monadnock region.

Opera sensation Michael Maniaci will be accompanied by Linda Osborn-Blaschke on the piano.  Maniaci has been hailed as “truly extraordinary” by the Times of London and as  “one of the greatest singers of his generation,” by the Toronto Globe and Mail.

The event will begin with a private reception and performance. Following the reception there will be an exclusive dinner with the artists at the Hancock Inn. 

Monadnock Music Festival brings classical music to a New England audience. In 2012, the festival heads into a new era with the return of opera, a new string quartet, performances from rising stars in the classical music world and the local conducting debut of new Monadnock Music Artistic Director Gil Rose.

Rose is a three-time Grammy Award nominee who has served as artistic director of Opera Boston and the Boston Modern Orchestra Project. During his first season leading Monadnock Music, Rose promises to reinvigorate the festival’s programming in the spirit of founder, James Bolle.
