Currier Museum of Art is Open Memorial Day

(TRAVPR.COM) USA - May 22nd, 2012 - MANCHESTER, NH – The Currier Museum of Art will be open Memorial Day, May 28 from 11am to 5pm. Military personnel and their families will be admitted free as the third annual Blue Star Museums Program is launched this summer. Admission is always free for children age 17 and under, visiting the Currier.

The National Endowment for the Arts, Blue Star Families, the Department of Defense, and more than 1,500 museums across America collaborate to offer free admission to all active duty military personnel and their families from Memorial Day through Labor Day 2012.

Visitors will be asked to show their military ID for free admission to the museum. The Currier is located at 150 Ash Street in Manchester, NH, is wheelchair accessible and offers free parking. Museum hours are: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday, 11 am-5 pm; Saturday, 10 am-5 pm. Open until 8 pm the first Thursday of every month. Closed Tuesday.
