Based on Forestry Commission maintained land, Forest Holidays have always offered plenty to do on their 20 camping and caravan sites across the UK. Holidaymakers have enjoyed everything from hiking to Ranger activities, bike hire and canoeing.
(TRAVPR.COM) UNITED KINGDOM - 1st April 2010 - Now for the first time, Forest Holidays are offering fantastic Special Breaks packages at different times throughout the year at their campsites. These special breaks are offered as a response to the huge popularity of the current Ranger Activity programme, which left guests wanting more. Forest Holidays Marketing Manager Carron Smith said: “The Forest Ranger activities are very popular with guests and we wanted to offer more choice to our customers to enable them to experience all that the forest has to offer first hand.”
Forest Holidays Caravan and Camping sites are located in some of the UK's most spectacular forests, with a range of flora and fauna to explore. The new Special Breaks allow guests to be guided by expert Forest Rangers and their special guest experts through the forest, whether on bike, by foot or by getting creative.
Carron Smith continues: “The range of Special Breaks that we are able to offer means that there is something for everyone, whether you enjoy an extreme weekend of challenging cycling or a more relaxing creative arts weekend using natural materials from the forest.”
For those who are pumping with adrenaline, why not try Bike Packing in the New Forest where guests will cycle 50 miles in 3 days! Or cycle, canoe, abseil and climb as part of the Ardgarten Tree-athlon! If you are more interested in animals then breaking a sweat then a Wildlife Weekend in North Yorkshire or Scotland will suit you; discovering birds, insects and larger animals in the depths of the forest. And for the creative types, a weekend of using the natural environment to inspire your masterpiece!
Don't forget year-round at most Forest Holidays campsites and at their 5 cabin sites, there are plenty of Ranger Activities to chose from. And at those campsites where activities are not offered there is also the forest on your doorstep to explore on your own by foot or on bike.
